Gonzaga 10 Landon 9 overtime

The final score is disappointing, but looking realistically back at the last five games and the effort expended in each of these games :

• down by 4 goals to GP and coming back to go ahead, but losing in the last minutes;
• down by 5 goals to DM and scoring 3 goals in the last minute and a half to win;
• beating a Bullis team which saw a win over the Bears as making their season;
• in a tough back-and-forth game, beating Gilman;

was extraordinary. The five games were played in 11 days. It was a loss to a very good Gonzaga and should not have been entirely unexpected in light of the above review.

Hopefully the pain and anger seen in the eyes of the 41 boys and the coaches as they walked off the field will translate to a new level of fire to drive the Bears through the seven remaining games.
