The Bears schedule the CA perennial powerhouse Islanders, coached by Landon Alumnus and ND All American Goalie, Alex Cade, every spring and every year, the boys from San Diego’s delightful island test the home team. It’s also always interesting to see whether the father of Adrenaline Lacrosse will acknowledge that his hometown weather is different from his West Coast residence and put shoes on. He didn’t. The Bears prevailed 8-2.
In recent games, the Bears might score early, but did add to that initial advantage. Today against the, Charlie Schnider got his boys going with two exceptional passes to Matt Potolicchio(10:56) Peter Laco (3:33), both of who buried the balls for nice goals.

Landon continued their offensive; first Taylor Valencia used a nice juke to set up a goal at 7:52. Then on an extra man play, Hank Brown found Charlie at 5:38. ‘Nado’s first goal came on a fast break with a fine finishing pass across the goal mouth (#7 assist to #21) at 4:27

The 3rd quarter was uneventful, no goals, but several nice saves by both goalies.

The Bears started the last period on EMO and took advantage of the additional attacker— Peter Laco fed future fellow Philly resident goal Hank Brown at 11:24 for the Bears’ fifth. The Islanders saw their big (USAF bound, source a ‘Nado parent) midfielder score at 8:45. The Bear attack was involved in the remaining goals—first Matt fed Bear D Mark Strabo for goal on a fast break at 9:24. Then Taylor scored on another dodge at 7:48 and finally Matt fed Taylor at 4:10.
