Landon Baseball 7 Paramus 7

The game ended 7 – 7 today after Paramus tied it up in the bottom of the seventh. They were the home team and made the call after we got the third out. It was 5 – 4 to Paramus through two innings and then it turned into a pitcher’s duel. Paramus rotated a few pitchers through and Jake Davidson came on in the third and threw five innings of quality work for us. Really good outing for Jake.

Randy Bednar led all hitters with a 4 for 4 performance, coming only a home run shy of hitting for the cycle. His work on the basepaths made a big difference today. Jed Rosenberg gave us a quality AB with his first varsity hit in the seventh, with two outs, that gave us a two run lead for the time being. Will O’Shea and Drew Whalen also added two hits each.

Congratulations to Carter Johnson, Brendon and Brett Gallagher for being voted as next year’s team captains! It should be a special year.
