Landon 3 Ridley 4

Bears came back from 0-2 deficit to tie it up in 3rd period, sending it into overtime. As a penalty expired in the extra 5 minutes, a Ridley player come out of the box and scored at 4:21.

Landon scored a power play goal @7:12 of the 2nd period to make it 1-2. The Raiders made it 1-3 of the 3rd period.

The Bears then got a nice goal with Hayes Cusick carrying the puck in deep and passing back to Chris Morris who buried a shot from the slot. That 2nd tally was @8:33.

Drew Wellington got possession on the corner, absorbed a nasty check, shot it and Will Jarrett put the rebound for the equalizer @ 4:11.

The Raiders got two point blank shots which Max Weinstein stopped (18 saves for the game).

With 1:26 remaining in the period, the refs called Ridley for a slash, giving the Bears a PP. Not surprisingly, the local referees then sent a Landon player to the penalty box. The two teams skated 4 on 4 for the remainder of the regular time.

The differential of 0:25 in the penalties gave the Ridley the advantage on which the Raiders ably capitalized.

Tough to lose after fighting back to tie it up.

The tournament provided a great opportunity for the team to bond as well as the coaches to try some line-ups.
