Winter Sports

  • Basketball  (3-0) outrebounded the Potomac Panthers (7-1) 33-21 with Chazz Harley leading the Bears with 13. Donnell Fryer leading all scorers with 23 points and 4 assists (co-leader on assists with Canin Reynolds). The home team beat Landon 57-55. Next game–St. Maria Gorretti High School home 12/20 7pm.
  • Ice Hockey (2-3). Lost to a powerful Salesianum (6-3, averaging 5 goals a game) by a 3-6 score. Losses are usually “teachable moments” for Coach Farnstrom, but from this non-league game, Coach Farnstrom learned that he has depth at the Goalie position with freshman Max Weinstein playing well and giving sophomore starter Ty Morton the night off.
  • Indoor Track and Field: Woodberry Forest Invitation Dec 10 2016 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM

Patrick Giles (L18), US Men’s National Development team (8-16-1), 25 games played 3 G, 8 A.

Patrick, serving as captain of Team USA claimed the 2016 INTERNATIONAL CHABLAIS HOCKEY TROPHY Under-17 Four Nations Tournament championship with a record of 2-0-1-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) in the tournament. Team USA’s seven points are two more than any other team in the tournament.
