Winter Sports

  • Basketball  (2-1) After an opening victory, Coach Perkins lost to Montgomery County’s pre-season favorite Walt Whitman High School (45-55) with point guard freshman Canin Reynolds leading scorer for the Bears (12) and ’17 Donnell Frayer (10 points). Then Landon beat The Heights 75-47 with 4 Bears putting up double figures– Antonio Cockrell ‘s 14, Donnell Frayer’s & Justin Patterson ‘s 12 plus Canin Reynolds’ 11. On Saturday they beat Woodberry Forest 50-45; Donnell added 15 including three 3’s with 7 other Bears in the score column.
  • Ice Hockey (2-2) lost to Calvert Hall (0-4) but bounced back with a 6-3 win over Mt. St. Joe’s; the Bears had 5 assisted goals and 4 had two points (Stout, W. Jarett, Concannon, Davidson) while Ty Morton had 27 saves.
