Class of 2017 baseball, golf, lacrosse and swimming Bears signed their NCAA letters of intent to play their sports at Bucknell, Catholic, Connecticut College, Cornell, Duke, Furman, Lenoir-Rhyne, Michigan, Navy and St. Joseph’s. There will likely be more offers over the next few months.


As with this Sunday Edition, during each season BearSportsNews tracks these alumni as they play in college, club sports and professional competition. Great way for young alumni to keep track of their Bear brothers.













Anthony Fullum (L13) S, William & Mary Tribe, (5-6) BEAT 34-13 Richmond Anthony played

Paul Padalino (L14), LB, Kolby Williams(L14) DL, Richmond Spiders (8-3)  lost to W&M 13-34 but are expected to be selected for the FCS tournament, Paul played and recorded an assist.

Keith Simms, (L16), LB, University of Oregon Ducks (3-7) crushed Utah’s Pac 12 aspirations with a 30-28 win led by Keith’s true freshman classmate.

Hunter Davis (L13), head manager, Stetson Hatters (4-6) lost to Drake 17-45. Hunter was honored on the Hatters’ Senior Day

Sam Anas (L11), Iowa Wild (6-9),AHL, played in 9 games, 2G 2A



Patrick Giles (L18), US Men’s National Development team (6-12-0), lost to

Bloomington Thunder 2-6, played



Christian Meike, Michigan Wolverines, (5-4-1), played and had an assist against USNDTP U18 a 6-3 win for the #18 Wolverines also played in 4-0-win over Boston University.

Jack Barton, Skidmore Thoroughbreds (5-2) played in all 6 games, had a assist in 3-2 win over Norwich; then beat St. Michael’s 6-4 with Jack earning an Assist on the last goal season:1 G, 1A  7 SOG

Chris Javens, Skidmore Thoroughbreds (5-2), see above for recent games; played in all 6 games, 8 SOG, 1 BLK



Alex Norwinski is playing for the College Station Spirit (4-11-1-1) NA3HL. in all 17 games, 0 Goal, 3 assist

Trevor Wolf is playing for College Station Spirit (4-11-1-1) played in 4 games 1G 1A.
