Cross Country

Landon hosted its own Home Classic on 9/14. It was huge (assuming that word is still PC?) with the Gym Field and all surrounding parking spaces completely occupied. In addition, it appeared as though there were meets for boys and girls and maybe JV& MS competitions.  The Bears came in 5th. Kevin Tsai, Arihant Chadda, Andrew Engel, Luc Schermer and Michael Gilbert posted the 4 best times for the Bears.

EXTRA EXTRA

Landon varsity cross country took first place at the Mercersburg Invitational on Saturday, edging out Leesburg Christian by six points and Goretti by five. The Bears were led by Wesley Feldman, who finished third overall. Three other Bears—Kevin Tsai, Jace Menendez, and Ari “Mono-Shoe” Chadda—broke the top ten, and Luc Schermer (16th) and Andrew Engel (19th) provided essential depth to secure the victory.

Only three Landon runners competed in the futures race, but all three distinguished themselves with career-best performances. Deven Desai finished second overall, just ahead of standout rookie Brage Hamilton (3th) and Dara Dilmaghani (5th).

Inspired by their unprecedented hardware haul, the Bears now set their sights on a victory at next weekend’s Landon Invitational. Thanks to the small but dedicated group of supporters who joined us at Mercersburg!
