Landon Lacrosse 17 Robinson 12

Every year the Bears and the Rams play; the team from NoVa always has a good roster as well as tends to be a top program in the Commonwealth. Last year they were 19-4, ranked #1 in Virginia by LaxPower, included stud UNC recruit plus 21 other seniors and lost to the visiting Bears 3-9 . This year Robinson is 13-1, rated #2 by LaxPower in VA and has only 8 seniors. The May 3 game, with intermittent rain, resulted in a home 17-12 win.

Another first quarter devoted to “scouting the opposition” on the field ended with a Bear 2-1 lead.

The next twelve minutes saw 8 Landon goals while the Rams scored three times. Halftime Bears 10-Rams 4

After a short halftime (rain expedited), the home team added five goals and Robinson equaled that number. As with other such matches, Coach Robinson Bordley emptied the bench. End of 3rd period Bears 15 Rams 9

The third and fourth midfields, two goalies, several attack and a number of players who carry the 6’ poles played for most of the last period. The Bears scored twice and the Rams added three.
