Landon Lacrosse 13 Mt. St. Josephs 8

The game against the MIAA Gaels was played following Caesar’s introductory sentence to his book Gallic Wars :

“OMNIA Gallia in tres partes divisa est.

Yes, lacrosse has four 12 minute quarters, but the tripartite nature of this game in Catonsville started slowly, accelerated for the middle two periods and coasted for the 4th. The Bears conquered these Gaels, back from their California trip and sporting a 9-2 record (losses to the Hill Academy and SSSA).

The initial time segment started with a Drennan Greene to Joey Epstein goal @ 9:33. The home team entered the scorebook with a tally at 0:53.2

KHARI BATEN “THAT’S A BEAR” Award

Last game, this honor was given to the Attack . Today’s award goes to the Defense. To hold any opponent to four goals in 36 minutes shows that this collection of long poles is getting synchronized. All 11 of the Bears who protect the goalie share in this recognition. Since the KB trophy cannot be divided in 11parts (“dividam spolium in partes XI”), the two  who led the play will get the Award:

Andrew Fowler

Justin Conner
