From the Beynon site:

“Our sport is driven by results; with a Beynon track we feel we are giving our athletes the very best opportunity to achieve the desired result. This speaks to the very essence of our coaching philosophy; enthusiastically provide the very best situation for each and every one of our athletes to reach their goals and dreams in the sport. A Beynon track allows us to create an environment of success for all our athletes. Our new track is the center point of our program. It is the catalyst for all our programs goals. With this in mind – Beynon was the clear choice for our program.” – Dan Waters, Track and Field Coach, University of Alabama

Joe’s post tournament comment said it all:

“It’s [the GWU program definitely in the right direction and I  think it will continue to grow. Tonight was a perfect ending to   the season.”

Here are the career highlights for Joe’s 4 years at Foggy Bottom:

  • Started 35 games (’15-16), missing the UMass and Dayton games with an eye injury …
  • leads the team in assists (106) while ranking second in steals (41) and third in rebounding (5.4) …
  • has scored in double figures in 13 games and ranks fourth on the team in scoring (8.7) …
  • ranks 6th on GW’s career assists list with 443 and 6th in steals with 171
  • scored his 1,000th career point with his first field goal against VCU (2/6) ..
  • has four double-figure rebounding games (at USF, vs. Gardner-Webb, vs. Davidson, at St. Bonaventure) …
  • grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds at USF (11/19) …
  • scored a season-high 16 points in back-to-back games vs. Seton Hall (12/2) and Penn State (12/8) …
  • dished out a season-high seven assists vs. Saint Joseph’s (2/10) … scored all 14 of his points in the second half to lead GW to a comeback win over Duquesne (2/17) …
  • dished out five assists against no turnovers while adding nine points and two steals vs. George Mason (3/1) …
  • matched a career-high with 10 assists vs. Saint Louis (3/10) …
  • scored a team-high 15 points vs. Saint Joseph’s (3/11) …
  • matched a season high with 16 points at Monmouth (3/21) while adding seven boards.
  • But the most telling figure for all three is how often they donned a George Washington uniform. Larsen (136 games), McDonald (133) and Garino (129) are the top three in Colonials history in games played
  • George Washington (28-10) set a school record for victories in a season and claimed its first NIT championship in six trips to the event. It also has 74 victories since the start of the 2013-14 season, the most in a three-year period in school history
