Landon Lacrosse 14 Cardinal Gibbons 8

The three time NC State lacrosse champions came to Bethesda with a roster which includes 7 college recruits, a #4 regional rating (LaxPower) and a gaudy 8-1 record. The Crusaders beat EHS but lost to Malvern Prep. They came North to test their metal and they put up a good fight.

The opening period moved fast for the Bears with four goals in a five minute stretch. Listening to the instructions by the coaches on the sideline, the O moved the ball patiently. Zach Johnson fed Griffin Brown who beat the visiting goalie for goal #1 @ 9:22. Soon thereafter John Geppert stung the corner for the 2nd tally @ 7:31. The 3rd goal was the result of a nice pass from Ryan Pride to Griffin @ 5:51. Will Oliver put a shot in the back of the cage @4:08.

The Crusaders were able to earn a score at 3:11.

With only 1:44 Griffin made a nice pass to Colin O’Brien to end the initial 12 minutes.
