Darion Atkins (’11), Westchester Knicks (NYC Knicks D-League team), is in 2nd place with a 25-19 record. #5 has played in 44 games and has averaged 30.2 minutes, 9.4 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.0 spg and 1.5 bpg.

Joe McDonald (’12), GWU Colonials are now 24-10.In the 1st round of the NIT beat Hofstra 82-80 ; Joe had 34 minutes on the floor, 2 pts.,7 reb.,  2 assists and 2 steals. G Dub plays Monmouth and its bench (which stole the ’14 Colby Bench shtick) today.

Sam Anas (’11) Quinnipiac Bobcats, 29-3-7, #1seed in NCAA Race to the Frozen Four; will play RIT 3/26 in Albany. Won 1st Whitelaw Cup, ECAC tournament championship with wins over Cornell (2-1 games) in the last of that 3 games the Bobcats won 6-3 and Sam’s PP goal, Then against Dartmouth, he scored and assisted in a 3-1 win (his 23rd goal and 25th assist of the season). In the championship game, Sam was brutally hit from behind, resulting in a 5 minute PP during which his teammates scored 2 goals

Jack Barton, Northern Junior Cyclones,25-15-1 (Commit Skidmore)  41 GP, 8G, 21 A The team forced a 3rd game in its playoffs.

Chris Javens, Portland Jr. Pirates, 13-27-0 (Commit Skidmore) has played 41 games with 3G and 6A and 97 PIMs. The Pirates won their first playoff game.

Christian Meike, now with the Waterloo Black Hawks (Michigan commit), has played in 38 games (with two teams) and has 2 Gs and 7 As.

Alex Norwinski (’15) and Trevor Wolf (’15) Sugarland Imperials, both Bears wear an A on their sweaters; the team is 1-1 in playoffs with Alex has 1G and 1A ; Trevor has 1 A.

SPRING SPORTS

Colton Rupp (’15) named Ivy Lax Rookie of the Week. Rupp led the Big Red with four goals. He shot 100%, putting all five attempts on cage. Rupp scored twice early in the contest, with his first goal giving the Big Red a lead it would not relinquish (4-3). Altogether he scored three times during an early 7-1 run that helped Cornell turn a 1-3 deficit into an 8-4 lead. He also scored the final Big Red goal of the game and picked up one ground ball.

UVA v. CUDiamond Trax Max Kra (2012), Bucknell Bisons, reliever, 7-11 team record, went 2-4 for the week. The Bison lost to NC State 2-5 and then to Bradley 2-12 Max pitched 2 innings and gave up 2 earned runs, 2 walks and 1 strike out.

Sean P. O’Brien (2014), Macalester College pitcher. Team season is 8-2 and Sean has pitched two innings in two wins.

Spencer Abraham (2015) , Claremont McKenna College Stags, 5-16; in two plate appearances, Spencer has a hit.

Andrew Kvasnicka, (2015) , Swarthmore College,14-3 The rookie  has appeared in 9 games for the Garnet with a hit, a run and an RBI. Andrew also pitched a complete inning

Garrett Zoukis, (2015) , University of Cincinnati, the Bearcats are 7-11 and the Bear has yet to appear.

Track Trax Deion Wellington, Coastal Carolina was part of a Chanticleers’ 5th place finish  in the 4×200 with a team time of 1:24.69 in the 2016 Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational. Jordan Marshall (2014), Davidson Wildcats, in the UNCC 49er Classic, he ran the 60 H (9.17) and the 60 (7.64). In the long jump he reached 20’4”.
