Landon Football 7 Georgetown Prep 35

  • Determined yet disappointed,
  • enthusiastic and exhausted at the end,
  • energetic and emotional,
  • inspired, intense but overwhelmed by the opponents’ size and speed,
  • missing players but motivated,
  • physical but punished,
  • promising, not as productive as hoped,
  • not broken yet beaten by numbers.

These are but a few adjectives which might be used to describe the breadth and range of emotions and attitudes today. They were seen at Landon on the field and in the stands.

It hurts to say it, but Prep was good today and the Bears fought to the last whistle. The visitors have a running back named TJ Dozier, who looked and ran like DJ Dozier.

There will be other occasions this season for Landon’s 20 seniors and supporting classes to reassert themselves and earn victories. There is talent on this squad (today’s leading Landon rusher 1s a freshman). There is no doubt that these Bears will demonstrate their will to win, execute and play hard in the next two contests.

BEAT BULLIS!!!
