Current Bears

Water Polo

Occasionally BSN is not really competent to report on a sport (i.e. cannot even decipher the score card) and is able to convince one of the incredibly busy Landon students to report on a game. There have not been too many, but those, who have found the time, have done exceptionally well. Chase Christensen wrote an exceptional story about the exciting Varsity Water Polo exciting double overtime plus shootout match against McDonogh and several readers commented on how much they enjoyed his report. Hopefully he will be able to continue coverage of the team’s play at the Eastern’ s.

Any other Bear, who would like to write up a game (Varsity, JV, Middle or Lower school), would be greatly appreciated. Let me know

Preseason expert (credit to Cy House for the scoop)

The Most Underrated – point guard, maybe player in the country is senior point guard Joe McDonald. He’s not flashy, he won’t wow you with athleticism; he just gets the job done! He displayed great passing, defense and leadership during the scrimmage while most importantly hitting spot up jumpers with consistency. He also remains one of the best rebounding point guards I have ever seen, he was all over the court grabbing rebounds throughout the scrimmage and before the critics try to bring some negativity to GW bigs, McDonald does the same thing to EVERY team GW faces. He just has a nose for the ball. One of the top floor generals in the country in my opinion.” — That’s what the article from FinestMage had to say about Joe after seeing him this weekend.
