LANDON LACROSSE 15–WINSTON CHURCHILL 8

The 12-0 Bulldogs, the #8 ranked team by WaPo and averaging 17 points a game against their Montgomery County opposition, hosted a game against the Bears on Tuesday night. Initially the two competitors matched goals, but a string of 10 consecutive goals by the visitors and a 25 minute shut out by their D separated the teams.

As seems to be standard in the first period of lacrosse and hockey games, the two teams tried to figure out what the other’s strengths and weaknesses are. Griffin Brown responded with an alley dodge, passing the defender and scoring @ 6:00. The home team responded with another goal by the future Terp. Thereafter, Andrew Fowler did not allow a shot by the UMd recruit for most of the next two periods.
