Varsity Lacrosse

The Bears are 8-0 with wins over Timon of Buffalo, McCallie of Tennessee and WCAC’s Bishop O’Connell. One of the McCallie team’s parents sent Coach Bordley an email which expresses an outsider’s opinion of the Landon Lacrosse team:

Bear Hoops Trax

Danny Rubin, Hapoel Kazrin lost to #1 Ironi Kiryat ATA 70-94. Danny had 8 points and 4 rebounds.

Chris Hudnut, Colby was named to the 1st team All Maine team and reached the 1,000 point level , the 36th Mule to do so.

Bear Ice Trax

Sam Anas, Quinnipiacfinished his sophomore season in a loss to the University of North Dakota in the 1st round of the NCAA Ice Hockey tournament. Sports Illustrated pointed to the Landon alumnus as a the tournament’s ultimate wild card and “the NCAA’s 2014 Rookie of the Year can be a game changer. Anas has an amazing set of hands and would give a huge boost to their power play.”

Bear Lax Trax Fax

Patrick Keena, Navy, is mentioned in this article as one of the key players for the Middies. USNA Coach (and former StA coach) had high praise for this Bear.

Bear Diamond Trax

Kyle Colgain (2011), Denison Big Red pitcher, started against Muskingum, pitched 3 innings; Dennison won in later innings 11-10. The team lost to Marietta 1-19.  Ian Kelso (2011) Washington University Bears pitcher, went 3-1 for the week and Ian pitched 1/3 of an inning in relief against Greenville in a 9-7 win. Jay Graham (2011) Dartmouth Big Green Infielder and reliever; the team was 2-2 since the last Sunday Edition.

Max Kra (2012), Bucknell Bisons, reliever: the team went 4-2 with Max pitching 1 and 2/3rd of innings (surrendering one hit and 0 runs) in win against Binghamton (Tony Kornheiser must be bummed that his Bearcats lost the game). He also pitched an inning against Navy (1 hit, 1 ER) in a 1-7 loss

Sean P. O’Brien (2014), Macalester College pitcher. The team went 0-2 for the week, losing a double header to Bethel.

Bear Tennis Trax

Alex Reinke (2014), Southern Methodist University, the team won two matches and lost one.

Bear Golf Trax

Brent Bubes (2014), Maryland, the Terps placed 4 out of 30 at the  Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate at the Kingsmill Resort

 Bear Track Trax

Oliver Hightower (2014), Kenyon Lords.  He did not score at the Wooster Invitational.

Mac Hightower, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps’ Stags ran in a competition, but Mac did was not mentioned in the results.

Deion Wellington, Coastal Carolina’s Chanticleers competed at the Raleigh Relays but no results have been posted.

Jordan Marshall (2014), Davidson Wildcats, also competed in the Raleigh Relays; there are no reported results.
