LANDON HOCKEY 4 Bullis 1

Playing on the Bulldogs’ home ice (the other rink at the ARC), the Bears beat their IAC foes 4-1 and but for a hot goalie (Will Gansler, 47 saves),the score would been more lopsided.

Landon scored on its 1st power play, with Patrick Giles wrist shot from the left dot to the upper right corner off a nice pass from Michael Soraci @ 9:03.

Bullis tied it up later in the 1st period.

The Bears took the lead on a slap shot from from the point by Trevor Wolf unassisted@ 7:24.

The 3rd period was all Bears. Tommy Crittenberger with assists to Trevor and Patrick Giles @ 8:26.

Bullis pulled their goalie @ 2:11 and the visitors controlled the puck much of the time. Drew Wellington threw the puck to Jones Lindner who passed it to Drennan Greene for an empty net goal @ 0:11.3.

What was remarkable was the Bears’ control of the puck. The defensemen and wings consistently frustrated the Bulldogs breakout efforts. Rarely did the visitors lose a battle on the boards and the incredible tenacity in 1 v. 1 situations maintained the puck in the Bears O zone.

Jack Concannon had another strong performance in the nets facing 15 shots against the Bears’ 51.
