1. When did you start playing football?

I started to play organized full contact football in the 5th grade for the Mater Dei 5/6-Football team and the RFL Panthers.

  1. What is your time in the 40 yd. dash and what’s your best bench weight?

My 40 yd. dash time is 5.0 seconds, and I haven’t been able to test my best bench weight since I injured my back sophomore year.

  1. What is your favorite college football team and college football player?

My favorite college football team is either USC or Ole Miss and my favorite college football player was Johnny Manziel.

  1. What is your favorite moment during any Landon sports event in which you played?

My favorite moment was when I was able to come back from a concussion earlier in the year last year and help beat St. Albans in OT, or beating Prep in football last year.

  1. What is your favorite course/faculty member at Landon?

My favorite course at Landon was either Humanities with Mr. Botti and Mr. Swinehart, Geometry with Mr. Sorkin, or U.S History: 1945 – Present with Mr. Holm. My favorite faculty member is my four-year adviser Mr. Derwinski.

  1. What is your favorite non-sports related activity–community service, music, painting, sculpture, photography, independent paper, debate, drama, poem, extracurricular activity, etc.?

I really enjoy waterfowl hunting with my brother or sister and my fellow classmates such as Will Poston, Luke Kurtz, and Will Lincoln.

  1. What is your nickname (if any) and how did you get it?

Most people call me Joey or my last name, Tabb.

  1. Describe yourself in 3 words? How would your parents describe you in 3 words?

I would describe myself as a lover, funny, and hardworking. My parents would say mature, quiet (unless I have something important to say), and happy.

  1. What’s on your iPod?

Pretty much every type of music out there, but my favorite kind of music would have to be either Country or Techno.

10.Tell us one thing (interesting) that your teammates do not know about you.

I am now a member of the American Red Cross High School Leadership Program.

A favorite quote: “The belief and trust I had in Coach Amaker and his vision for the program reminded me of the trust and belief I had in my coach at Landon, Andy Luther [a Latin teacher and the associate director of college counseling]…. I truly believe that this was a product of the values and emphasis that both programs took in doing things ‘the right way’!”
