Landon Lacrosse 9 Episcopal High School 6

It was senior day for the Class of 2014. Prior to the game, thirteen players and their families (including grandparents and siblings) were honored at their last regular season home game. Clearly these boys and their support teams at home gave a lot of hard work and dedication to Landon lacrosse, an impressive bunch. THANKS!!!

The Maroon of the High School came to play and evidenced the tenacity. As with many opponents, they could not match the Bears depth; during the 3rd quarter, the home team scored three unanswered goals and tested the reserves for the remainder of the game.

The Bears’ primary mode of attack for the opening segment was the alley dodge—Rob Adkins @ 7:36, Ryan Pride @ 6:57 and Jack Bolen @ 1:07 (the only one who used the left side). The Maroon got a nice goal at 7:32.

END OF 3RD Q BEARS 8 MAROON 3

The coaches inserted multiple substitutions for the last 12 minutes. Jack Prutting was in the nets and saw the highest number of saves for this period and made a game high 7 saves. The visitors got a little frisky, scoring two consecutive goals (10:09, 10:00). That trend was interrupted when Sean intercepted an EHS clear and converted it with a goal @7:06. The last registry was a visitors’ goal at 4:02.
