Second 2014 Sunday Edition is a little sparse because many of the colleges are in examinations and/or returning from the holidays. In that void, John Nichols and BearLaxTraxFax fill the void, thankfully. His first report lines up the 27 Division I Bears who are playing this spring plus Ryan Curtis, the UVM coach. As noted before Matt Morrison is the USNA captain and Jack Strabo leads the Princeton Tigers.

Trivia Quiz—what college team has the most Bears on its roster?

Bear Lax Trax Fax

It is hard to believe but college lacrosse begins in less than two weeks. Equally amazing is the time and dedication which John Nichols devotes to capturing all our Bears’ performances at the next level. The XCL sheet that he created to know which Landon alumni is playing where and when as well as the oft contest betwixt Bears.

Here is John’s 1st BLTF on the 27 players and one coach at the D –I level:

The first face-offs take place on Saturday February 1 and there will be Bears on the field (Polar Bears?).  This year, we welcome several new teams to cover and we bid adieu to Duke.

The new year also sees 2 more Landon grads serve as Captains for their teams: Jack Strabo at Princeton and Matt Morrison at the US Naval Academy.  Congratulations to them and well done!

This season will feature 22 Bears vs. Bears matches, the first occurring on February 8 when Bucknell and Delaware meet.
