The Gaels are 1-1 having lost to McNamara 51-42 and beaten StA 48-28 yesterday. Last year MSJ had a 4-7 season including a 24-14 win over the Bears. Wake Forest recruit, now a junior, Nevonne McCrimmon #2, RB, 5-11, 205 rushed for 165 yards. Bryan Jangro, now a senior QB (#14, 6’0”, 175#) for the MIAA A team, completed 10 of 16 passes for 135 yards.  The Baltimore city school has a roster with11 players of 200-249 pounds, 2 above 250 and one tips the scales at 320# @ 6’0” (http://www.maxpreps.com/high-schools/mount-st-joseph-gaels-(baltimore,md)/football/roster.htm ).

Bear Trax (a potpourri of what Bears are doing)

Myles Allen, Richmond, is enjoying his college experience. The coaches have him down to a svelte, muscular 215#.

So one of the reasons why athletes choose to play big time FBS football is the opportunity to travel to famous stadium, look where Division III athlete, Vincent Kindfuller visited on MIT’s trip to beat Fitzer- Pomona!

Richmond’s Terrence Fullum has a radical tear of his meniscus, but the prognosis is that the Bear/Spider will be ready to play soon.

A bevy of Bear Lax players will be making Trax at Play for Parkinson Series (@ EHS) [Georgetown’s Alex Joyce] October 5 and the Capital Lacrosse Invitational at Landon October 13 [Cornell’s Joe Paoletta, Will Joyce and Marshall Peters and Bucknell’s Sam McDonough]
