In a game that clearly meant a lot to the home Bullis team, the Bears prevailed.

For much of the first 5 minutes, the Bulldogs attempted to frustrate the visitors by icing the puck at every opportunity. At 5;21, JACK BARTON made a nice pass to DAVID LACKNER. Bears 1 Bulldogs 0

Some miscommunication resulted in a turnover in the Bears D Zone and the Bulldogs converted to take a 2-1 lead at 12:00. The Bullis team was penalized and the Landon power play equalized the score on a LACKNER to MATT POTOLICCHIO goal @ 10:30. Less than a minute later,BARTON scored with an assist to MIKE ANDERSON; Bears 3 Bulldogs 2 @ 9:15. Jack Sears started a big play by separating a home player with a BIG HIT; the puck flew down the ice on a pass from CHRISTIAN MEIKE to WILL BUCKINGHAM @ 8:10. SAM KROLL made 2 point bank, one-on-one saves to preserve the margin. BEARS 4 BULLDOG 2

The last 15 minutes were fairly uneventful until the final minute and a half when Bullis pulled the goalie and scored a goal with 0:07.5 left.

Sam Kroll had 20 saves.

THAT’s A BEAR award goes to JACK BARTON with 1G and 1A plus a lot of hustle.
