RBS Preview; Senior Profile; Pictures of Bears playing Football at the Next Level

The Crusaders of Riverdale Baptist School will arrive in Bethesda with a 1-2 record, having beaten Perry Prep 16-6, lost to St. John’s Catholic Prep 24-17 and lost to StA 37-16. Their roster includes 10 players of 200 pounds plus with five 240 or more (one greater than 300#). Coach Shield identified two of his players as superior performers in the first three games: Karee Rimes, #1, who ran for 100 yards and a TD and Darcel Hicks, #25, who gained the century on the ground. There is little information about RBS on the internet sites. The Bears have beaten the Crusaders by an average score of 35-7 for the past two years, but this may be a different bunch of Crusaders.

True measure of BSN’s neutral position on stories about Bears is evidenced in the following post about Wynston Bouknight. As much as I have problems with the Connecticut Community College of New Haven, there is a picture of a Bear who wears ƛale Bulldog Blue and White! Good luck Wynston in all of the team’s games except the one on 11/12. One of 27 members of CCNH’s class of 2015 and only one from DC area (one guy from McDonogh). Wynston is the only freshman running back who played in a preseason scrimmage, good portend as to his role at CCNH!

Another Bear is playing football as a Brown Bear, Jeff Izon, pictured here:

Finally, Landon’s Ray Lynn is on the University of Maryland’s special teams and according to a first hand account #51 made a solo tackle against Tavon Austin, THE ‘NEERS STAR, on kickoff in the Maryland-West Virginia game last weekend. His picture in the Terps’ all back uniform:
