Another wonderfully insightful recap to a highly contested hockey game against the St. Albans Bulldogs who demonstrated spirited play and fan support commensurate with their school’s mascot.
The world of sports is most compelling in being a platform of skillful dexterity combined with the demand for good judgment as well as strong passionate play while fulfilling both individual and team responsibilities.
Last night I was most impressed with senior Sam Kroll, who just experienced his beloved grandmother’s passing the day before. Many emotions were at strong demand with Sam and he responded with maturity and skilfully executed athleticism combined with keen awareness to continue to position himself effectively. This he did without flash yet when his teammate was making his final preparation before launching forth at the the StA’s goal for a penalty shot, Sam skated with vigor in his movement and strongly beckoned to his teammate to successfully finish his scoring attempt to secure a Bear victory.
Well done Sam and his fellow Bear teammates!
Yesterday’s victory banked a needed win for Landon in both the IAC and MAPHL leagues to end the regular season and start both champion tournament play in the best position possible.
